BAYLINK SHUTTLE UPDATE

The Baylink Shuttle trial continues to receive fantastic community support, with an approx 22% increase in patronage during week 2.

The community drop-in event, hosted by Billbergia in the Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library forecourt on Sunday 11 February was also a huge success, with some very positive comments and suggestions about the Baylink Shuttle service.

In response to the feedback we’ve received, we are looking to trial the following changes to the current Baylink Shuttle route and stops.

  • Extended service to Rhodes Waterside shopping centre - during non-peak periods. We will be undertaking an initial 3 day trial to Rhodes Waterside shopping centre over coming days to ascertain the impact on the 20min frequency of the non-peak day service. Further details will be provided shortly, in the meantime check with the driver to find out when this trail is happening.
  • Changes to Stop 1 on Baywater Drive - Stop 1 will move approx 70 metres west on Baywater Drive (near the corner of Monza Boulevard). Please note, this will make the stop an ‘in-lane’ bus stop, similar to Stop 2 at the Pulse Function Centre on Stromboli Strait.
  • On-demand passenger drop off stop southbound on Hill Road –  a new drop-off stop is proposed on Hill Road near Nuvolari Place.

Survey – Give us your feedback

You may have already completed an online survey or noticed people with iPads undertaking intercept surveys at various bus stops over recent days about the Baylink Shuttle service. Almost 900 surveys have now been completed either online or during intercept surveys, as of Monday 12 February.

Your feedback is important to us and provides an opportunity for you to tell us how we can improve the Baylink Shuttle service, and also to provide your feedback on the other facilities planned by Billbergia in Wentworth Point.
